Bzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeep! I slammed my hand down on the snooze button and groaned.

"Come on." I said sliding out of bed, "Only one more day. Just-one-more. Seven more hours until fall break."

Twelve school days off. That was over two weeks! I half smiled, half awake and stumbled into my bathroom to brush my teeth. Then, like a zombie, I dragged my feet to my closet then changed.

I ran downstairs, skipping the last two steps. I ran for the kitchen to see it empty.

"Gone already..." I mumbled.

A two story house with three bedrooms. And yet, it was just me and my mom. It was fun at first, like after I was born, but, after that, it all changed. She was called on to business trips more frequently within each year. Luckily, now I'm sixteen and can stay home alone. I've lived in California all my life, same with my mom. Palmdale was my hometown. My mom sometimes worked at the Lockheed Plant in Lanecaster, but that was only when she was in town, which was barely. I'm used to it now, though. From time to time we'll hang out for a few minutes, so... no big deal.

I made my breakfast: Cap'n Crunch cereal, my favorite. After I finished, I headed for the front door, grabbing my keys that hung on the coat rack and grabbed my skateboard and backpack. I locked the door and set off for school...

Ah, Palmdale High. A public school that isn't all that great, but an okay place to hang out with friends. I sighed as I passed its gates. "Just seven-more-hours..."

7 hours later...

"Yes!" I yelled, "Freedom!"

All the highschoolers burst out of the school doors. I jumped off the steps and headed for Trev's Spot. I called it that, cause it was his second...home, you could say. He's in his third year of college. Lucky for him, his career already set out.

A company called Ion Tech hired him for a special project. Even though it's secret, he still told me about it. Ion Tech is the leading company for new technologies to help with everyday life or with regular jobs such as construction, for instance. Surprisingly, they're higher up than the Apple Corporation. One thing in particular that peaked Ion's interest was Youtube.

Well, there are some key factors that you should know about YouTube. Only a few people believe this, but it's true. YouTube is a website that allows you to not only post videos, but allows you to surf the internet as yourself. I can see I'm not being specific enough. Okay... when a YouTube account is first made, a portal appears in the screen. You can move this portal anywhere you'd like in the room you're in. The portal leads to your YouTube account. But instead of the menu to look at your videos, its a personalized room to your personality and DNA. As soon as your portal appears, you're logged in. Only you can enter it. From there, you can go anywhere in the internet, play any game, etc._all as yourself. Hard to believe, right? Many don't believe this until they actually make an account of their own.

I, myself, just made one earlier this year. I have very little experience and haven't really surfed the internet as a YouTuber. That's another thing I must explain. YouTubers are those with a YouTube account. While Viewers, are those who just watch the videos and do not have an account at all or are not logged in. That's where Ion Tech comes in. They're designing a man made portal for Viewers so others wouldn't have to make an account for the same experience as a YouTuber. And thats where my friend, Trev, comes in.

I hurried inside the house and dropped my bag on the floor.

"Hey" I greeted as I walked into the next room.

There he was, working on that contraption, once again. Personally, I didn't agree with it. Little is known about YouTube's Portal origin, and I believe that it's for the best. I don't think it's meant to be discovered, but... it's helping Trev. I frowned at the picture stood before me.

He stood up and tiredly smiled at me.

"Hey." he looked at the clock, "That time already?"

He yawned and went back to work. I frowned. This project was going to kill him faster than he could finish. He had bags under his eyes, chin covered in six o' clock shadow with a dirty shirt covered in what looked like spilled coffee. I sighed and put on a confident face.

"Three days..." I said, "Three days I leave you alone and this is what happens."

I shook my head. He just laughed in response.

"Sorry, warren." he looked over his shoulder to give me a taunting smile.

I punched his shoulder playfully. He nearly fell over, causing me to grab his arm to keep him steady.

"Trev."

"Hm?"

"How long has it been since you slept?" I asked.

"A-a few hours." he stuttered.

I could tell he was lying, "Okay..."

I pulled him into the next room on the couch.

"Sleep" I ordered.

"I told you I slept a few-" He was out cold.

I nodded acceptably and went back to the previous room, looking at the contraption. My fingers stroked the end of the ray gun. I backed up into the table in front of it.

"Hmm..." I pondered.

He'd been working on this for ten months, eight by himself. My eyes looked over the many machines that crowded the southern side of the room. The logo for Ion Tech suddenly caught my eye. I glared at it.

"For a billion dollar corporation, you people sure are low on workers, cheap." I looked toward the room, hearing Trev's snores, relaxed then left.

Two days later:

Listening to James Egbert mixes is relaxing. I sighed, relaxed on the couch as I dosed off. He wouldn't be done with the machine until tomorrow, probably. Hopefully, in two more days. I don’t mean to be pessimistic, but . . . I’m the guinea pig. As soon as that contraption is done, I’m the tester. Great . . . Finally asleep. Dreams. For me, they run on music...

"Hey" nudging. "Hello?" a push on my arm. "Kaina!" he yelled.

I turned away from him and went back to sleep. I heard him scowl under his breath.

"WAKE UP!!!" he yelled.

The sound made me jump and quickly sat up. "Jeez Trev." I hissed covering my ears, "I’m up."

"Good, now that your awake, I've finished." he got up from kneeling.

By the look of his knotted-crazed hair, he'd been working himself hard again, his sandy brown hair in all directions.

He turned to give me a smile, happy for his success, "It's finally done."

He had purplish black bags underneath his eyes. He had been doing this for so long now.

"Uh, Trev?" I said.

"Yeah?" he answered, smiling.

"How much sleep have you gotten?" I asked.

His smiled faded with a puzzled look now in its place.

"Uh..." he thought about it, "about four hours."

"Four hours last night... Or total?"

He shrugged, guilty. "Fine, forty minutes."

I sighed. "Look, how about you get some sleep. Then, after that, we can test this thing out, okay?"

I got up off the couch and walked over to him.

I put my hand on his shoulder with a concerned look. "This isn't concern for you. I’m actually worried more about my well-being. If you were a sleepless zombie drinking five cups of coffee per hour..." I didn't bothering finishing, unable to think of a horrible accident, as I turned to the sight of three empty ground coffee bean bottles.

He sighed in defeat and agreed.

Trevor Ormeillius Calvin. Trev for short. You see, he’s a junior in college. Out of luck, almost a year ago, and through his computer smarts, he managed to get a job at CortArt Inc, a sub corporation of Ion Tech. This company made new technology for the world. Their rival, of course, is Apple. Because of this, CortArt decided to make game consoles and games to help promote its company. In order to get ahead of everyone, they decided to make a virtual game-like console where you’re inside of the game. However, a website already had this feature. Also, on top of that, only the people with accounts knew about this. But, as secrets go... more found out_ Not to mention it was free, followed by a career, therefore making the website much more popular. It’s a popular global website where you can post videos, comment, like, and favorite.

Yes, it is YouTube.

I feel like I didn't explain YouTube enough... so let's back track more on it, shall we:

Those who have accounts on this website are called YouTubers. What happens is as soon as you post a video, you receive a portal in an email. You can put the portal anywhere in your room or what ever room you’re in as you desire. It transports you to your channel on YouTube, except it's very different, instead it's a room designed just for you, however you can customize it more to look however you want.

Then there are the Viewers. Viewers are Non-YouTubers. They can only watch the videos and on certain days of the year or with paying money for a free pass into the YouTube Internet World, they can come in and... only watch, still. However, there are some exceptions on certain games that allow Viewers. I don't know why they aren't allowed most of the time. People say it's just... dangerous.

YouTube has a portal to any game, console or PC, and any website on the internet. I, myself, am a YouTuber_ a "young" YouTuber. I only have a few videos posted. After receiving my portal and customizing it, I told Trev all about it. He seemed to already know and seemed uninterested in making an account. Another thing that's great about YouTube is the avatar that is customized to your DNA and personality... your "Internet Look", if you will.

In the city of New York, in one of it's highest buildings, sat a man at a desk in a dark room. His fingers intertwined into one another, waiting. He sighed, impatient. His grip tightened.
A man suddenly came through the door, holding a laptop, "Sir," he said out of breath, "it's ready." The man at the desk's lips twitched. His grip loosened.
"Are you sure, this time, it will work?"
"Positive, sir. We've tested it out on... other websites."
"And how did those turn out?"
"In a word, sir... magnificently." "Excellent, when will it be launched?" he asked. "Tomorrow night, sir, at exactly ten-thirty PM."

I've been going off about this for a while noe... I've been writing this since I made a YouTube account. It has many different YouTubers in it. So... for now I'll be postin the story (it'll be a comic that I'm gonna try tpo post onto youtube). Since I'm out of paper n my scaner is down at the moment... So i hope you guys like this story... okay.
N, I'm gonna be honest... yes cry is in there, yes the late night with cry&russ cast is in there (well the ones I know about)... if i get their ages are wrong... don't get on my case, please. It's my imagination, okay... unless the way I wrote them doesn't sound anything like them at all. AND please don't bash-at all whatsoever... PLEASE, I can't stress that enough.
