The tremors grew to a giant quake rumbling beneath the ground. The cracks eventually broke, creating small trenches. Sapphire flames escaped the earth's seams as burnt rocks took flight like newly formed meteors. The ground then protruded in weird ways as white, gooey, objects creeped from beneath the, now risen, burnt crater.

It was unexpected. To think, even with virus protection, he'd still have enough strength to do this. Everyone froze in shock, still on guard. The white globs crawled and slithered onto the surface, finally taking shape. Instead of the expectation of monsters from hell, familiar white blobs took form.

Middy leaned on the crumbled wall, peaking at the events with a confused look, "Wha- What the... Those are-"

"Sups." Russ said, watching more of the blobbed creatures exiting from beneath the burnt crevices and onto the surface to take form.
"Why did he summon Sups?" Jund asked in confusion, "They're not even a threat."
Red continued watching, on guard, "I wouldn't be too sure about that."
"Red, look at them. You know them just as well as we do." Russ argued.
"Maybe it's..." Jund shrugged, "Cry calling out."
They both looked at him.
"It’s possible." he defended.
"I don't think that's it." Red said, turning back to the growing army, "Cry may still be in there, but I don't think he's using them as a sign of his surviving sanity."

"I think you're taking this a bit over the top." BattleStar said, taking a few steps toward one of the little Sups, "You see these guys all the time running around his channel. They're completely harmless."
He knelt down to pet one. It's thin, white fur brushed against his fingers. It closed its eyes with a spoof sound as it smiled, lying its head against his palm.
"See, completely harmless- Ow!" he quickly backed up from the Sup, holding his hand away from it.
The Sup looked up at him with a confused, innocent look.
"What happened?" Russ asked, seeing his shocked expression.
"It bit me." BattleStar said, looking at the small beads of read forming on his lower hand.

The Sup continued to stare back, tilting its head to the side. It quickened the pace as if moving to music. Faster and faster... Its face then began to change as tech marks traveled up from its feet to its face. It then froze, staring up at nothing. Its body then began to twitch. It let out its little spoof sound every few seconds until it sounded like a choke. It then looked back at the group with a digitized, hiss-like roar. Its mouth sharpened into triangular points, similar that of jagged ridges from broken glass. The long hair protruding from its head crinkled to a jagged shape, t
witching as if surges of waves were going through it, matching the same pattern of its mouth. It hissed at BattleStar, pouncing on him. In a blink of an eye, it was gnawing on his face. He backed up, trying to pull it off. His futile attempts only seemed to piss it off more. The blobbed creature began to spark up bolts of blue, shocking him. He ran into the crowd of YouTubers that quickly got out of his way, staring in astonishment.
"Gmm imm mmm!" he yelled, still muffled from the Sup.
It hissed as he continued to struggle.

He was finally able to pull it off. The Sup screeched and hissed as it tried to nip at him. BattleStar then threw it away into one the last standing walls. It hit the wall with a light thump, slowly sliding down to the floor, not moving. He hyperventilated, waiting to see if it would get up and attack again.

He turned to Jund, "The_ fuck, man?" He was still catching his breath.
Scott just gave him a thumbs up, "Knew you could handle it."
"What the hell? I needed help!" he yelled.
"Yeah, I didn't quite catch that." Scott said, trying his best to hold back a smirk, "Besides, it all worked out in the end."
"Screw you, I could've died!" he yelled.
"But you didn't." Jund smiled.
"Dammit, Jund-" He froze in mid-sentence, hearing a familiar hiss, and turned to see the Sup jump back up to its feet, "Damn."

The others looked back to see the army of innocent Sups begin to change.
"Just as I thought." Red said, "They've been infected by Virus."
Now hundreds of Virus-Sups were surrounding Virus, waiting to attack.
"This has gone too far." Red said, "He now has an army."
Russ sighed, "He's buying time…” His fists clenched, “until the virus protection wears off. Dammit."

"I wouldn't quite call it an army." Zieg interjected, readying her sword, "They're not much of threat and are quite easy to kill."
"Hm, seems more like a warm up if you ask me." Minx added.
"You can count me in." Krism smiled as a giant scythe-hammer, similar to the
Resident Evil's Zombie Executioner, was summoned to her shoulder.

"Doesn't look good." Middy said as she watched the new battle begin.
Virus-Sups ran amok, attacking YouTubers in great numbers, overwhelming some. The white blobs, individually, were easily destroyed in one to two hits.
"What are you talking about? They're winning." Nathan said as he continued to watch.
"That's just it." Middy jumped down from here peaking area. "It's too easy.” She pondered, “He's planning something."
"Doesn't seem to be working if you ask me." Nathan said.
"Trust me, this won't be an easy win. Especially when the Sups are infected with Virus' Cyber."
Nathan looked at her from the corner from her eye, seeing her point.
Suddenly, as if right on cue, the tides started to change.

It was no use. Every time a Sup was brought down, two more attacked in its place. Minx stabbed and flung a Sup into the wall of the cliff behind Virus. In seconds, it stood up and began attacking again. This was getting nowhere.
"Bullocks!" she cursed, "When will these bloody things die already?"

Zieg guarded against an overwhelming number of Sups. Her shield slowly began to crack.
"Alright, then." She breathed, closing her eyes as she lifted her sword.
Her shield quickly disappeared, only to have a seal stand in its place. She got ready, in stance and on par. She then thrusted her sword into the seal, causing a reaction. In a millisecond, spears of light began spewing out in a machine gun fashion, toward the hoard of Sups, mowing down a whole line of them, causing many to be flung up into the air from the impact and combust. Pieces of the white blobs fell from the sky. Blue tech marks, as if sewing a hem, entangled itself around the pieces of blobs, forming new Virus-Sups. Zieg winced as she dropped down on one knee. She needed time to recharge, still recuperating from the attack from Virus.

She slowly got up, leaning on her sword for support. Virus-Sups were approaching from all sides, getting ready to attack. She took a deep breath, sword now tilted up in her right hand. She stood, ready. They lunged for her. She quickly swiped her sword getting rid of the front line. More came after another. She quickly stroke, still able to keep her distance from them. Her attacks slowly became sloppy as she became weaker. More ran in her direction. Just before she could strike once more, a portal opened in front of her, trapping in the small army of Sups. It then closed, opening high up above, letting them fall to the ground. Zieg looked over her shoulder at Minx.
"I'll take it from here." Minx said with excitement, taking out a few knives, throwing them toward the falling hoard of Sups, impaling each of them, only to have them combust as a portal opened from each knife.
"Thanks." Zieg said, catching her breath.
"It's been a while since I was allowed to have this much fun." Minx chuckled.
Sadly, as soon as what was left of the blobs fell, they were re-sewn back together with all too familiar blue tech-marks into new Virus-Sups.

KrismPro stroke to the left of Minx, slicing through the crowd of corrupted creatures and hammering down onto the earth, creating a new trench. Many Sups fell in. In a second, the trench closed, crushing them. Just as futile as Minx's attack, pieces of the blobs rose from the cracks and formed new Sups. None of their attacks were working.
She then got an idea. If they couldn't destroy them, maybe the Sups could destroy themselves.
"Minx" she called out, "cover me!"
Her left eye glowed red as she stared at one of the Sups, collapsing in seconds. Minx quickly caught her before she could hit the ground. She looked around the crowd of Virus-Sups, finally noticing one, with a familiar red left eye, begin to attack the others.

The Sups quickly took notice of the rogue Sup. Hoard after hoard, they quickly overwhelmed it. Another Sup became rogue, possessing the same left red eye. Again, its attempts were foiled as it was attacked. One by one, Sups were taken over then quickly destroyed, taking down one another.

Minx looked down at Krism's, now soulless, body. Blood then began to seep from her nose.
"Kris?" she patted her cheek.
No response.
"Kris, that's enough! Fall back!" she ordered.
Still no response.
"Dammit!"

She looked up at the crowd of Sups attacking one another. For a split second she could see one with Krism's left eye, attacking. This time, the Sups actually got her, becoming more aware of which body she was possessing. Krism's body thrashed at the attacks as her spirit tried to keep up the constant repossession. She could barely defend. Finally, her spirit found its way back to her body. She gasped for air, looking around to see she had made it back in one piece. She looked up to see Minx staring back down at her with a sigh of relief, pulling her into a hug.
"Don't ever do that again."
KrismPro forced out a laugh, only to fall unconscious seconds later.

Minx then placed her by Zieg in back of the crowd of fighting YouTubers. She nodded in Zieg’s direction as she turned to leave.
“Every_ one_ of those fuckin’ bastards is dead.” She said, choosing her targets.
In a swift movement of her hand, dozens of portals opened, gobbling up many Virus-Sups into a black abyss leading to God knows where. The portals finally closed, only to have one open up a second later below Minx. She slowly sank down. Minutes passed after her portal closed and the battle continued as more Sups were created from below. Finally, she reappeared with a slight-satisfied look on her face.

“And where the hell have you been?” Russ asked, slicing a few Sups in half.
“Relaxing.” She answered sarcastically.
Russ gave her a questionable look.
“Forget about it.” she said as she threw a knife toward another Sup, impaling it, “Although I did find out some interesting news.”
Russ slashed a few more, watching her from the corner of his eye.
“The Sups contrive of Virus’ power.” She then trapped a Sup in a portal, throwing a knife after it and opening another portal to return the knife back between her fingers, “The farther they are from him, the more likely they are to stay dead.”

She smirked as she saw Russ’ expression.
“How many people can you transport through your portals?” he asked, hatching an idea.

Middy paced back and forth.
“I can’t take it anymore!” she growled, “This is bullshit! There’s got to be something I can do.”
She continued to pace.
“If I stay here for one_ more_ minute, I’m going snap!” she hit a wall of rubble.

She stopped, “There’s… just got to be a way around this.” She looked out from her peaking area once more, “If Snake doesn’t show up soon, no one’s going to survive this.”
She began piecing things together.
“We’re under a timer.” She said, realizing something, “This is… all strategy. This is all to bide time ‘til the virus protection wears off...” She tried to think of a solution, “Damn… with the Cyber infused within those-”
She froze as an idea popped in her head.
“That’s it…”

She turned to Nathan, “Stay here. I gotta go find someone. If anyone asks, you don’t know where I am.”
“Why, where are you going?” he asked.
“Out… to find someone who can help end this.” She said, slipping out toward the battlefield, “Or at least... help turn the tide.”
Nathan began following her, stopping in his tracks when she stopped in the doorway.
“Stay here and cover for me.” She turned to look at him over her shoulder with a half smirk, “Maybe next time kid.”
She then ran off into the crowded fight, doing her best to stay out of their eyesight.

“Dammit, where is he?” she looked around the crowd.
She froze in her tracks as a hiss sounded behind her. Slowly, she turned to see a Virus-Sup staring back at her, inches from her face. A chill quickly went up her spine as it seized and twitched, letting out a hiss-like roar.
It pounced as she quickly ducked out of its way.
“Whoa!”
It landed softly on its feet, turning to look at her with a growl. She gulped at its gaze, slowly edging herself away. It tilted its head to the side with a brief hiss. Without thinking, she ran for it through the warring crowd. It gave chase.

She ran through the crowd, passing many YouTubers.
“Come on.” She said, trying to concentrate, “Give me something.”
She cussed under her breath and continued running.

As if fate put a bulls-eye on her back, she tripped and fell.
“Dammit.” She said, quickly getting up.
The Sup pounced on her, knocking her back down onto the ground. Only her arm held it back as it nipped at her, pushing her arm closer to her. It finally bit into her arm. She screamed.

In a split second, an iron string twirled itself around the Sup and pulled it upward, off of her. In a blink of an eye, it was then stricken from many directions. Middy looked back to see a person in a black hoodie with only his lower nose to his neck visible while the top of his face remained hidden in shadow. He lowered his hand, flicking his index finger up. The Sup was then split into many pieces. His hand clenched into a fist, making the fluttering, falling pieces of the Sup burn into indigo flames. His head tilted down to look at her, his silver cross zipper on the collar of his jacket gleaming in the light. All she could see were tiny glints given off from the small reflection of light that seemed to be his eyes.

She finally let go of the breath she had been holding.
“Hey Priest.” She said, standing up and dusting herself off, “Thanks for the save.”
He crossed his arms at her and tilted his head toward what was left the so called stronghold, the crumbled wall. She followed his gaze and let out an annoyed sigh.
“Because… I have something to do out here.”
He tilted his head to the other side.
“It’s... important.”
He shook his head with a sigh.
“Speaking of which, have you seen Cin anywhere?” she asked.
He pointed to his right.

She looked over to see Ken fighting a few dozen Virus-Sups.
“Wow, thanks.” She said.
He nodded her way as a Sup tried to jump him from behind, only to be sliced, diced, and cremated in a matter of seconds. Middy gave out a nervous laugh as she walked away.
That guy is creepy. If I hadn’t heard him speak more than a paragraph I would’ve thought he was Snake’s clone.

Her hair was immediately ruffled by someone, immediately changing her expression to glare as she let out an annoyed sigh.
“Priest, if you read my mind, I am going to murder-” she turned around to see no one there.
Creepy… she thought.
She shook her head as she turned to Ken.

He seemed to have made half a dozen spears from the ground. They levitated around him, fending off the surrounding Sups. She came up behind him.
“CTK.” She called out.

He shook, a bit startled and look over his shoulder to see her.
“What are you doing out here?” he asked, quickly turning back to the fight to defend.
The bear claws on his bear hat, slashed and clawed back a few Virus-Sups.
“Helping out. What else?” she answered.
“Russ said you were-”
“Forget what Russ said!” she yelled then stopped, taking a deep breath, “Look, I need your help.”

He smashed another Sup with one of the rocky spears.
“What?” he deflected an attack from a hoard of Sups, “Right… now?”
“Oh, no.” she said sarcastically, “I meant next week. By all means, take your time.”
He rolled his eyes at her remark.
“Of course I mean now, Sherlock!”

“I can’t right now. Ask someone else-” one of the Virus-Sups broke through and sent a surge through one of his strongholds, causing it to explode. He flew back from the impact, right next to Middy. She sighed, crossing her arms with a unimpressed look.
“I need you to bring me to him. You’re the only one here that can take me.” She said.
He gave her a confused look as he got up and dusted himself off, “What? Why?”
She lifted an eyebrow at his last question, “Do I really have to spell it out for you? Look around. You know exactly why.”
He shook his head, “I can’t. A little busy at the moment.”
He walked away, continuing his fight against the never ending blobbed army.

She gave out a pouted huff and pointed her hand toward the army. A lavender mist escaped her palm and snaked its way on the ground toward the front lines. It then split into a line and rose, pushing a quarter of the army back. She quickly lowered her arm and leaned on her knees.
“Now you decide to work. T's'about time.” she breathed.

Ken, now seeing the purple shield keeping them back, turned to look at her tired state.
“I need your help.” She said, standing up straight.
“Why not ask Minx?” he asked.
She sent him a look of irritation, “Do you really have to ask?”
She pointed toward a series of portals opening and closing with an all too familiar laugh in the distance.
“Do you really want to spoil that mood?”

He sighed, deciding.
“You’re the only one here that can take me there.” She pushed, “This battle is pointless. You can’t beat beings infused with Cyber without having Cyber yourself.”
“That’s why you need him, yes?” he asked, making a decision.
She nodded, “It’s our best shot.”

“Alright.” He finally said, “I’ll take you to him. But just a heads up,” he opened a Tab-Link Portal, “it won’t be easy and his place… is kind of_ oh, how should I put this_ insane asylum-like.” He turned to the portal, “Specifically not for the faint of heart.”
She nodded, “Okay… I think I can handle it.”
He shook his head, chuckling under his breath, “Sure... You clearly have no idea what you’re getting yourself into.”

He entered the portal. Middy stopped, hesitating, and looked back to see her shield dissipating.

She took a deep breath, “Let’s hope this works.” then entered the portal.

I love this series so much
